Informations:

The buildings located on the picturesque cobbled Zamkowa Street belonged to the outbuildings connected with the seat of the bishops of Cracow. At the end of the 19th century and in the first half of the 20th century part of the buildings housed a prison. Since 2011, the site has been known as Castle Hill, comprising two cultural institutions: The Centre for Patriotic and Civic Thought (OMPiO) and the Institute of Design in Kielce.  The first of these, located in a renovated former prison building, provides a permanent historical exhibition, as well as a space for education and discussion on issues of civic education and patriotism. The Institute of Design, in turn, is a municipal institution that has been implementing projects in the field of broadly defined design since 2012. Its activities focus on production, exhibition and education. More information on the activities of both institutions can be found on the websites: www.ompio.pl and  www.idkielce.pl
