The Chęciny Commune, through the Culture and Sports Center, received funding in the amount of PLN 12,000 for the implementation of the project entitled: Climbing Trail of the Conquerors
The Provincial House of Culture in Kielce has announced a competition for an action co-organized as part of the Very Young Culture 2019-2021 project. Świętokrzyskie, implemented as part of the program of the National Center for Culture Very Young Culture 2019-2021, co-financed by the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship.
22 entities took part in a two-stage competition for the implementation of tasks for children in the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship. The 8 highest-scoring projects were selected for implementation, including the project of the Center for Culture and Sports in Chęciny.
The project involves the involvement of 40 children and young people (10 people each from Ostrów, Tokarnia, Czerwona Góra and Miedzianka from the Chęciny commune) to joint travel and climbing meetings, creative leisure activities without the use of computer technology. Discovery expeditions will be organized, during which children will create four maps of interesting places in the Chęciny Commune – they will become discoverers of the charms of their own towns. They will gain knowledge of nature, geology and history – these will be fun scientific trips. In four places, there will be hikes along the newly created routes. As part of the project, children will also visit Kadzielnia and caves, and exercise their motor skills in the rope park. They will take part in a series of climbing workshops on walls and rocks in the Stokówka quarry.
At the end of the project, the children will organize expeditions of explorers for the inhabitants of their towns, using the maps that have been created. The project partners are: UNESCO Świętokrzyski Geopark and Świętokrzyski Mountaineering Club.
