The Museum of Toys and Plays in Kielce dates back to the 1970s. It is one of three facilities of this kind in Poland. Since 2006 onwards it has been located in the former 19th century trade fair hall built next to the so-called new market square, now called Plac Wolności (Freedom Square). In the museum you can admire a collection of toys, both contemporary and historical, at permanent and temporary exhibitions. Numerous interesting educational workshops are also held here.
