The Ethnographic Park in Tokarnia is an excellent choice for those wishing to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and the ever-increasing pace of life.
Passing through the gate of the open-air museum, visitors are transported to an idyllic 19th century village, where they can visit rural homesteads, small-town services, mills, a shop, a pharmacy, a doctor’s consulting room, a church, a school…. There is also a forest and a river – everything you need for living! There is also no shortage of farm animals strolling between the huts, in search of luscious green grass.
If you get tired of sightseeing, we recommend a dinner in an inn serving regional dishes and an overnight stay in the “octuplets” at the manor house.
The park organises numerous events to bring tourists closer to the life, work and customs of the olden population. Some of the more interesting ones are the Lead Smelting, the Bread Festival or the Beekeeping Picnic.
